Sugar Bugs Junior is a simplified toothbrushing card game created for children ages 2–4 and sensory-sensitive kids who may not yet tolerate a full two-minute brushing routine.

Instead of expecting children to brush for a set amount of time, the adult chooses a brushing duration that feels manageable. The cards then show the child:

• Where to brush
• How to move the toothbrush
• How long to brush that area

This allows children to practice brushing in small, achievable steps while building comfort and confidence at their own pace.

Why Sugar Bugs Junior Is Different

Sugar Bugs Junior is the simplified version of Battle of the Sugar Bugs. It is designed for younger children and kids who need a more flexible introduction to toothbrushing.

There is no pressure to complete a full two-minute routine. Parents and caregivers can choose a brushing time the child can currently tolerate and gradually increase it as brushing becomes more familiar.

The goal is to create positive toothbrushing experiences—not force children beyond what they can handle.

How to Play

Choose a manageable brushing duration and draw the cards one at a time. Help your child follow the picture to brush the correct area using the movement shown.

Celebrate each completed card as a defeated Sugar Bug. Continue for as long as your child can comfortably participate, then celebrate the battle with the included Victory Trophy.

As your child becomes more comfortable, you can slowly add more cards or increase the brushing time.
