Task List sorting Must Do, Should Do, Could Do, and Want to Do

Task List

$3.00

Prioritize what matters without letting one long task list become overwhelming.

The Task List helps youth and adults sort responsibilities into four clear categories:

  • Must Do: Tasks that need to be completed
  • Should Do: Important tasks that can wait if necessary
  • Could Do: Optional tasks to complete if time and energy allow
  • Want to Do: Enjoyable or personally chosen activities

This format helps narrow your focus, set realistic expectations, and make room for both responsibilities and things you enjoy.

How to use it: Write each task in the category that best matches its priority. Start with the Must Do section, then move through the other categories as your time and energy allow. Check off each task when it is completed.

When to use it: Use it for daily planning, schoolwork, household responsibilities, work tasks, independent living skills, or anytime a traditional to-do list feels overwhelming.

The Task List is also included in the Busy Brain Digital Kit and pairs well with the Energy Day posters. Together, they can help you choose tasks that match how much energy you have available that day.
